Since the 1920s, the Lakewood Democratic Club has brought together community members to promote Democratic ideals and local involvement in political advocacy and activism, and to encourage, select, and support Democratic candidates.

One of the largest and most active Democratic Clubs in Ohio, Lakewood Dems has become an essential stop for candidates and elected officials, both from our community and from Democratic politics throughout the state and region. We regularly feature educational programs and speakers on a variety of important issues, and help coordinate activism and volunteer support for Democratic campaigns. We also feature a monthly book club and several social events throughout the year so we can get to know our fellow Democrats and neighbors. No matter where you are on your Democratic journey - new activist, veteran volunteer, looking for new friends, or just curious about politics - this is an organization for you!

The club typically meets the last Thursday of every month at the Lakewood Public Library where we feature a monthly program and receive updates from our State Senator, State Representative, County Council, City Council, local school board, and county Democratic Party.
